The build process can be divided into 5 main tasks - assembly, construction, covering/painting, engine installation and finishing and these take approximately 45%, 5%, 40%, 5% and 10% of the build time (approximately 350hours) respectively. You will be supplied with a detailed construction manual, including pictures, diagrams and templates where needed. The following are the main steps to completing your Easy Raider.
Preperation:
- First you need to find yourself a suitable working area. For your fully assembled aircraft - with wings folded - you will need 8½' x 21' x 6'
- You need to register your project and contact an approved inspector, who will need to be present right from the time you open your kit and count the pieces.
Pre-welded Fuselage and tail feathers:
- Attach landing gear
- Install fabric stringers
- Fit tail feathers and flying wires
- Fit cowling, turtledeck and windshield
- Install control stick and connection pulleys etc
- Install rudder controls and connections
Wings:
- Assemble wings yourself or purchase pre-assembled "quick build" wing option
- Set wings to fuselage yourself or purchase "quick build set" option

NB: We can assist by offering the use of our builder-centre workshop in Amesbury. Here, at a reasonable cost, you can build your aircraft with the guiding hands and advice of our expert team. You will get the use of all tools etc required. We also have access to painting spraying equipment and professional expertise. Use the builder-centre to your advantage, to start you off or work through to any stage of completion. However, under UK rules, you must complete 500 hours or 51% of the build yourself.
